Who Would Have Thought...  Yesterday at work I was talking with a co-worker about letterboxing. I'm not even sure how the subject came up, but she had never heard of it before and was intrigued. While we were chatting, my boss came past and she mentioned it to him. His response: "Oh letterboxing, yeh we do that." I about fell off my chair! Now you have to understand that letterboxers in this area of Michigan are few and far between so to actually come across another letterboxer is uncommon and completely coincidental. Before moving to Michigan, he and his family lived in New Hampshire, which is where they first learned about the hobby. They are casual boxers, just out there enjoying it as a family, using LbNA for clues but not participating in the Yahoo! groups or even using trail names. He asked if I had a trail name and I told him it was SpringChick. A big smile came across his face and he said, "Oh, you're SpringChick (say that with an Australian accent to get the full effect), we've found many of your boxes." He proceeded to share some of their adventures while boxing in the area and which ones were their favorites. It was fun to exchange stories and made me feel good that they have enjoyed my letterboxes.

Wouldn't that be cool! I inflict letterboxing stories on MY boss, who is a nice man and listens politely (but would never in a million years be caught dead in the woods....)
