Happy Fall... I recently participated in a postcard swap at the Artgirls group. In the swap each person had to carve a stamp within the theme, "Colors of Fall" and use it to decorate postcards that were then sent to the other participants. In the end, I received several beautiful postcards with wonderful fall-themed stamp images. My contribution to the swap was a carving of Mums. It was a fun project because it is a much larger carving than I usually do for letterboxes. For the background I used white cardstock with several fall-colored acrylic paints and then dry-brushed over it all with antique white to give a lighter stamping surface and some texture. I am quite pleased with the finished design. I will post a scan of the completed card soon!
